AIR MOVERS - COMMUNITY OUTREACH 2009

Air Movers is family owned and operated and greatly invested in our  community. We are proud members of several local organizations and participate in projects that enrich us both locally and globally.  During this holiday season, we are proud to have participated in several drives and causes.

Junior League of Sarasota; Air Movers Marketing Manager, Tiffany Nicks and a six year active member of the Junior League, volunteered for the three day 18th Annual Junior League of Sarasota’s Merry Marketplace, now a major fundraiser for the Junior League of Sarasota, Inc. (JLS) serving Sarasota County.  Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.  Proceeds support the JLS Signature Project of Child Abuse Prevention and Intervention.  The Junior League of Sarasota is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.  Photo: Shown above, Tiffany Nicks (far right), Marketing Manager - Air Movers 2009.

Building Managers International; With the support of BMI President and Vice President, Nancy and Tom Hill, Air Movers Business Development Manager, Gail Stephens spearheaded a drive to send supplies and gifts to our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. The group collected items such as toiletries, movies/DVD’s, food items including home baked goods, holiday treats and games.  We are proud to have sent 48 boxes of goodies to individuals in our armed services with sincere thanks for their service.  Photo: Shown left, Gail Stephens, Business Development Manager - Air Movers 2009.

Community Association Institute; Newly elected to the board, Gail Stephens solicited well wishes for the troops by distributing greeting cards for the holidays and collecting them with the heartfelt messages at our Sarasota Breakfast on December 2.  The response from the community and the sincere gratitude expressed in the cards are sure to warm the hearts of the 175 troops that will receive them.  Also connected with the CAI group, Air Movers is proud to have donated food items for the All Faiths Food Bank.

Longboat, Lido, St. Armands Key Chamber of Commerce; Long standing members and winner of the Small Business of the Year award in 2008, Air Movers is proud to contribute to Mothers Helping Mothers drive by donating clothing and personal items to that organization for the holidays.

Suncoast Insurance Professionals; At the December 3 Christmas dinner, Air Movers President, Barry Nicks and Gail Stephens donated gifts in the Shoebox Christmas drive.  In addition to the Shoeboxes, Gail collected holiday greetings to be sent to the troops in Afghanistan.  Photo: Shown right, Barry Nicks Jr., President - Air Movers 2009.

Air Movers is blessed to be a successful part of the Sarasota Community and is privileged to be able to give back in many ways.  We wish everyone a safe and blessed holiday season.
