Here are the steps required for effective water damage remediation.  Ideally, remediation must begin within one hour of the identification of the problem.

2. Digital Moisture Meters and Infrared Cameras detect and identify all water and moisture trapped within the structure, including the drywall, cabinets and flooring.
   
   
3. All room dimensions and moisture levels are identified and recorded to establish “baseline drying data.”
   
   
4. If necessary, some structural areas are drilled (at baseboards, cabinet toe kicks, walls, etc.) to allow injection drying.
   
   
5. A drying plan is established to ensure a proper and successful “dry out.”
   
   
6. The proper amount of equipment is set up and activated in affected rooms throughout the property.
   
   
7. Drying progress is monitored and measured daily to ensure the drying program is targeted to complete on schedule.
   
   
8. After measurement and validation that moisture has been eliminated, the drying equipment is removed.
